About Me
Kara is a motivated, patient and talented team player who embraces change and innovation. She spent two busy years as an Office Manager at the online start-up Sunsational Swim School, successfully leading customer service, instructor support and sales teams. This included rewriting all client support messaging, implementing new ticket management software (Zendesk) and coaching more than 40 staff members on new technology.
In addition, Kara spent five years as a project manager for a public radio station, coordinating daily production logs, writing promotional scripts and using proven marketing strategies to increase the station’s rating from #7 to #3 in the country. She is confident communicating with a large, diverse group of people, as well as resolving complex, detail-oriented problems under deadline.
Kara studied print journalism and political science at the University of Southern California and spent more than a year living and working abroad in Australia. When not traveling, Kara enjoys hiking, open water swimming and hanging out with her cat Buddy.
